G99 Testing

G99/3 Testing

We are able to offer a nationwide testing service to the requirements of G99/3, we are able to provide several Test Engineers with flexible dates and machines.

These include:
  • Over/under voltage for 230v single phase or 400v 3phase.
  • Over/under frequency 50Hz.
  • Vector shift.
  • ROCOF (Rate of change of frequency).
  • Voltage asymmetry.
  • Neutral Voltage displacement.
  • Reverse power.
Relays are set up and tested ‘offline’ and then restored for dynamic testing.

Along with our knowledge of electrical testing to ensure 100% compliance, we use the DVS3 MK2 test equipment which allows the G99/3 protection relays to be set up statically. This includes loss of mains via vector surge and df/dt (ROCOF) relays. Under and over frequency, under and over voltage parameters, along with their time delays are also set up. This procedure is then followed by dynamic tests with the system active and the G99/3 relays in circuit.
